Declared as a film major since Fall 2009. Started to implement all his knowledge from film into photography by Nov 2010. Heavily influenced by the cinema techniques and composition of American New Wave, French Avant-Garde, German Expressionism, and Russian New Humanism. DDD Photography aims for indie photography and always pursuing aesthetic quality. Considered as a hobby as well as a sidejob.

 

When people ask me what is Indie photography, the best way I can explain is a style that isn't using alot of editing; honoring the style of SLR procedures. It's about capturing the real essence and properties of a subject. I appreciate the procedures of SLR camera development and I do my best to utilize my color and histogram corrections on the set rather than post-production. I intentionally leave those unedited in my shots to show the real uniqueness of the subject. What motivated me to achieve this kind of style were the photographers from Femjoy, FTV Girls, MetArt, and MCN.
